Instructions for Submitting a Manuscript to Ad-din Medical Journal
Information for Contributors
Ad-din Medical Journal (ADMJ) is a peer-reviewed publication of Ad-din Momin Medical College (formerly known as Bashundhara Ad-din Medical College), located in South Keraniganj, Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Manuscripts submitted for publication must adhere to the following guidelines, which are based on the Uniform Requirements for Manuscripts Submitted to Biomedical Journals recommended by the International Committee of Medical Journal Editors (ICMJE).
1. Undertaking Form
- Each submission must be accompanied by a duly completed Undertaking Form.
- This form includes declarations that:
- The authors are the sole contributors to the work.
- The manuscript is not currently under consideration by another journal.
- The content has not been previously published.
- The manuscript should be attached to this form using the designated upload option.
2. Author Information
On the title page, please include:
- Full names and initials of all authors.
- Their designations and institutional affiliations at the time of the study/work.
- Highest academic qualifications.
- The name, address, and email of the corresponding author responsible for communication regarding the manuscript.
3. Manuscript Format
- The manuscript must be submitted in .docx format, prepared using Microsoft Word or a compatible word processor.
4. Plagiarism Check
- All submitted manuscripts will be screened for plagiarism.
- If a manuscript contains more than 10% plagiarized content, it will be returned to the corresponding author for revision.
- Only manuscripts that pass this check will proceed to peer review.
5. Peer Review Process
- Manuscripts that pass the plagiarism screening will be reviewed by subject experts.
- If revisions are required, the corresponding author will be contacted by the reviewer or editorial office.
- Following satisfactory revision and approval, the manuscript will be formally accepted for publication.
- Authors will be notified of acceptance via email.
- A final proof will be sent to the corresponding author before printing for final confirmation.
6. Editorial Policy
The Editorial Board of ADMJ reserves the right to:

- Edit manuscripts for clarity, grammar, style, and format.
- Determine the priority and timing of publication.
- Assume that all submissions are based on honest and ethical research practices. The responsibility for detecting scientific misconduct lies primarily with the authors, not the editorial board.

Abbreviations
Standard abbreviations may be used. Avoid abbreviations in the title and abstract. However, the full term for which an abbreviation stands should precede its first use in the text unless it is a standard unit of measurement.
Statistical Procedure
Statistical procedures should be described in the Materials and Methods section and supported by references to enable a knowledgeable reader with access to the original data to verify the reported results.
Tables and Illustrations
Tables and illustrations should be separate from the text of the paper. Tables should be simple and should not duplicate the text of the article. Do not use internal horizontal or vertical rules. The use of too many tables is not encouraged.
References
References must be in the Vancouver style and must be verified by the author(s) against the original documents before submission. They should be numbered consecutively in the order in which they are first mentioned in the text.
